Kew Cricket Club registered as a CASC in September 2006. A self proclaimed 'friendly club', Kew has been at the centre of the local community for over 120 years.
With a strong focus on the development of young players and a newly promoted first team, Kew hope to utilise the scheme to fund the purchase of a new electronic scoreboard in addition to furthering the club's general activities.
Recently, paying business rates had been a huge drain on Kew's resources. By registering as a CASC this is now no longer a problem. Although a new concept to the club, Kew intend to actively utilise Gift Aid in their future fundraising.
Raj Patel, Treasurer of Kew CC, said:
"Playing cricket in the heart of the local community is the main objective of Kew CC. Registering as a CASC will make it that bit easier to continue for the next 120 years"
